ABOUT.
Will Sexton
is a Boston-based freelance Scenic Designer completing his MFA Candidacy in Scene Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Will is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he worked in Aerospace Ground Equipment. Currently, he holds his BA in Theatre Arts, BS in Business Management, and AS in Automotive Technology.
His passion for experiential design and audience captivation take front in his most recent work with the premiere of the devised, immersive, and theatrical escape-environment, I Wish, that is set to run for up to the next five-years at CU Adventures in Time and Space. Prior to that, he staged the end-of-the millennium SoHo production of RENT in the renaissance embellished, 1400-seat historic Virginia Theater.
In addition to set designing, Will operates professionally as a scene shop carpenter where his attention-to-detail has thrived at world-class theaters like Barrington Stage Company and Ogunquit Playhouse. In his free time, Will can be found exploring new hiking trails and mountains, getting purposefully lost on his jogs to find new places, and showing his Jack Russell pup some of the best dog parks.
Next on the docket for him, is his big move to the Berkshires in pursuit of his freelance career on the East Coast. Wicked Cool.
